Hi, just a quick question: is gcc.gnu.org permanently gone away?
it seems like I've tried to look at the basic gcc web pages sporadically
over the past few weeks, and seem to get nothing but a TCP RST in reply.
thanks, mark hahn.

gcc.gnu.org is alive and well. And, in fact, someone with a very
similar email address to yours has been receiving email from it:

At the risk of pointing out something very obvious: do you
perhaps have a static entry for gcc.gnu.org in /etc/hosts?
It changed address (and hardware) at the beginning of October,
perhaps matching your "past few weeks".

right - it appeared to be either firefox or nscd holding onto a stale mapping.
thanks, sorry for the false alarm!
