There was supposed to be a libc-help mailing list created some several
weeks ago. The /ml/libc-help/ web page exists with empty archives.
But I get a "user unknown" bounce when I try to post to the list.
Frank couldn't figure it out.

At the same time, libc-alpha's settings were to be changed as discussed
before. We'd still like to happen once the libc-help list works properly.

But just the new list would be a fine start, and I am mystified as to how
it could fail to be a one-minute push-button operation.

Thanks,
Roland

My last interaction with the people who would be moderators seemed to
suggest that they didn't know what was involved and might be assuming
functionality that wasn't there. I suggested reading some documentation
but I don't see any response that indicated that they understood how to
do what needed to be done.

So I never did the rest of the setup since I wasn't particularly
interested in answering "How do I do X? What? I'm mystified why X
isn't simple!" style messages.

Christopher,

Carlos and I should be able to do just fine.

The mailer you use is just a bit different than I'm used to.

We'll be attempting to recruit another moderator to the ranks as well so
that we have adequate coverage.

Ok. libc-help is set up and libc-alpha should now be moderated. I've removed
Ulrich as a moderator.

Something odd appears to have happened to libc-alpha in the course of this
change: the ezmlm message numbers, normally sequential, have gone
backwards from 20983 to 20776.
