Agreed. Besides, nowadays you don't need a mirror anymore. I'm having good success with the hgsubversion extension (http://mercurial.selenic.com/wiki/HgSubversion in combination with Subvertpy), at least when only dealing with a single branch. Cloning the whole repo failed after ca. 102000 (of 180000) revs with an assertion failure.
