Thanks for the help guys.
I contacted web.de. Just to make sure, the sender IP is [12.107.209.250] (helo=sourceware.org) ?

Correct.

I'd actually be interested in seeing what supposedly triggered the
blockage. I wonder if they are clever enough to check the headers so as
not to falsely accuse a site just because they saw a
"ecos-discuss-BLAH-sourceware-X-org" in the From address.

It isn't.

Ah, that makes it sense then. And he won't be on the subscriber list by now
because ezmlm will have cancelled it for excessive bounces.

I notice on this page:
-=-=-=-=-
Automatic identification of a server as a Spam mail server:
According to our frequency measurement, your server has been identified as
a Spam mail server. This might point to a virus contamination concerning
your system or the clients using the system for dispatch. This automatic
evaluation might be erroneous due to large amounts of E-Mails being sent
out (e.g. dispatch of newsletters etc.) by your server – please investigate
within your system to that effect. Generally this rejection persists only
for a temporary amount of time; however, if problems concerning E-Mail
dispatch consist, please contact us for further investigation.

So it does frequency measurement, which means, what with the many
high-bandwidth lists on sourceware, it's bound to hit whatever triggers it
has. It's up to Heiko (as a customer) to get them to permanently whitelist
sourceware.org. It's possible it was whitelisted before, but there was a
recent-ish change of sourceware's IP address, which might explain how it
suddenly started.

The only web.de address I see on either list is wysiwyh@web.de. Is
that you?
Looking in the logs for e-mail to that address, I see this:
deferral: Connected_to_217.72.192.149_but_my_name_was_rejected./Remote_host_said:_554_Transaction_failed._Visit_http://freemail.web.de/reject_for_explanation./

Anyhow, apparently all e-mail from sourceware is being blocked by
web.de. You will have to contact them to find out why.

Hi,
I've been advised to post this problem here. Since June 1st, I don't get any mails from the ecos-discuss mailing lists or the mailing list manager program. No subscribe/unsubscribe mails are answered, no list digests are sent to me. Also no answer to an ecos-discuss-get mail. No reaction whatsoever. Web subscribe doesn't cause anything either. Same seems to be true for ecos-devel. Can anyone figure out what's the problem?
Thanks a lot,
Heiko
