What does this mean? The default postgresql data directory is /var/lib/pgsql/data. The GUI installer will avoid overwriting any previous data that exists in that directory. If you're upgrading from a previous version of postgresql, you should first backup your data and make sure the directory /var/lib/pgsql/data doesn't exist before trying to run the GUI installer again. I believe there are online documentations about how to backup your postgresql data properly. -David Jee
