I have just spent some hours banging my head against the wall trying to
build some java programs I've written with the autotools/gcj combo. The
question I have for you gurus is simple: what versions of gcj/libgcj,
automake autoconf and libtool are good to use like they are used in
rhug?
A combination that 'sort of' works is the following from redhat rawhide:
libtool-1.4.2-7
autoconf253-2.53-3
automake15-1.5-2
libgcj3-3.1-0.23.1
but that requires some manual tweaking of the libtool script. What do
you use?

Manual libtool script tweaking :-(
A few of us are trying to fix libtool for use with gcj... but for now...
I would just copy the libtool configury from rhug.
