Hey,
         this time i was able move further..
yes, i m able to connect to the target.
all i did was ;  i updated the cygwin1.dll file..to the latest version.
hence, now the probelm is in the arm-elf-gdb..
i get a stackdump in the arm-elf-gdb.exe

any  advice how to get rid of this one now..
