In short, this new mainline provides an array of new command line options to supplant the need for front-end scripts to generate a SID configuration file prior to starting the simulator. Try sid --help for usage. The ChangeLog entries, for those that are interested, are at the top of the main/dynamic/ChangeLog and extend back to 2002-02-08. Ben
