Unless you have an X server on your windows box you won't be able to
remote display it. Is it possible for you to use another box?
At any rate, you'd set display to the box that you are on, e.g.
(under csh)
setenv DISPLAY twigboy.cygnus.com:0
(under sh)
export DISPLAY=twigboy.cygnus.com:0
