Subject: [Bug translator/6950] New: buildok/twentyfive.stp fails with elfutils 0.137
Date: Tue, 07 Oct 2008 14:03:00 -0000 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <20081007140200.6950.mjw@redhat.com> (raw)
On 2.6.18-92.1.1.el5 (x86) and 2.6.18-92.1.13.el5 (x86_64) kernels, but not on
2.6.26.5-45.fc9.x86_64, buildok/twentyfive.stp fails with elfutils 0.137 plus
the two recommended patches (elfutils-0.137-fixes.patch from the
elfutils-0.137-2.fc9.src.rpm and elfutils-0.137-segment-fix.patch from bug
#6928) as follows:
stap -p4 /home/mark/src/systemtap/testsuite/buildok/twentyfive.stp
semantic error: libdwfl failure (dwfl_getmodules): no error while resolving prob
e point module("ext3").function("ext3_check_dir_entry")?
This passes with elfutils-0.135.
The 'no error' comes from dwfl_getmodules() given a positive offset to continue,
after which it returns -1, but doesn't set dwfl_errno.
