This would allow us to get rid of several kernel version checks and check for $variable existence instead. We could then turn something like this (from syscall.poll): ==== %( kernel_vr > "2.6.15-1.1831" %? timeout = $timeout_msecs %: timeout = $timeout %) ==== into something like this: ==== timeout = @catch($timeout_msecs, $timeout) ==== Where the syntax is something like '@catch($expr, $backup-expr)'. -- Summary: compile-time error catching Product: systemtap Version: unspecified Status: NEW Severity: enhancement Priority: P2 Component: translator AssignedTo: systemtap at sources dot redhat dot com ReportedBy: dsmith at redhat dot com http://sourceware.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=11005 ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. ^ permalink raw reply [flat|nested] 5+ messages in thread
