With the latest SystemTap git tree, the powerpc build is broken:

Argh, sorry about that.
The problem is that STAP_SDT_V2 hasn't been ported to ppc yet.
Could you roll back the Makefile.* changes from commit a794dbe,
until a more flexible activation scheme is built?
