Instead of an error, systemtap just silently exited. This is wrong - I should have gotten a syntax error. -- Summary: 'stap -l' doesn't report invalid syntax Product: systemtap Version: unspecified Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: translator AssignedTo: systemtap at sources dot redhat dot com ReportedBy: dsmith at redhat dot com http://sourceware.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=12032 ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. ^ permalink raw reply [flat|nested] 4+ messages in thread

I'll agree that 'stap -l' is working as documented. However, that doesn't make the behaviour correct. Syntax errors should be reported. -- What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|RESOLVED |REOPENED Resolution|WORKSFORME | http://sourceware.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=12032 ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. ^ permalink raw reply [flat|nested] 4+ messages in thread
