Before the change
./configure --host=x86_64-pc-linux-gnu
was using 'ar' tool to generate archives.
After the change it uses x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-ar tool.
It's useful for selecting one of multiple available
prefixed toolchains.
WARNING: Did not regenerate autotools files.
