Summary: stap-server should use proper cert passwords
Product: systemtap
Version: unspecified
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: runtime
AssignedTo: systemtap@sources.redhat.com
ReportedBy: fche@redhat.com
Instead of a plaintext .../pw file, the stap-server process should
treat its certificate passwords as seriously as httpd and other such
ssly tools do. Specifically, it should give the local sysadmin the
option to save password-free certificates (for automated startup),
an option to enter the password on the console if isatty() once
per stap-service start, and maybe an option to supply the password
in an environment variable.
