Subject: [Bug server/13628] New: stap-prep script doesn't work in pt_BR environments
Date: Fri, 27 Jan 2012 12:39:00 -0000	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <bug-13628-6586@http.sourceware.org/bugzilla/> (raw)

http://sourceware.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=13628

             Bug #: 13628
Summary: stap-prep script doesn't work in pt_BR environments
           Product: systemtap
           Version: unspecified
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: server
        AssignedTo: systemtap@sourceware.org
        ReportedBy: obusatto@linux.vnet.ibm.com
    Classification: Unclassified

I have a hrel 6 installed and configured to use the pt_BR (Brazilian
Portuguese) language.
stap-prep script uses grep to look for the string 'is not installed' and the
rpm tool installed is writing this information in portuguese, so the script
doesn't find the packages to be installed. I think that this problem will also
happen in hrel installation in other languages,
I also tested this in fedora 16 and I got the same error.
