Subject: [Bug runtime/13832] New: handle vector/float registers in loc2c et al.
Date: Sun, 11 Mar 2012 15:08:00 -0000 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <bug-13832-6586@http.sourceware.org/bugzilla/> (raw)
http://sourceware.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=13832
Bug #: 13832
Summary: handle vector/float registers in loc2c et al.
Product: systemtap
Version: unspecified
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: runtime
AssignedTo: systemtap@sourceware.org
ReportedBy: fche@redhat.com
Classification: Unclassified
Some work is underway in gcc to let it spill integer registers into the vector
registers instead of to the stack, as a possible optimization. So sooner or
later, we'll encounter DWARF that requires pulling data out of %xmm999 or
somesuch, even for plain old integer values. loc2c and friends will need to
support this.
