We need the ability to fetch and process floating point context variables, such
as found in userspace. Even without making it a full variable type in the
scripting language, merely being able to fetch / unpack / print the things in
their 32- or 64-bit format would be an improvement.

I seem to remember that there's a software implementation of IEEE floating
point somewhere in the kernel. It might be arch/mips/math-emu/*.
