Eigler --- My guess is that the debuginfo subrpm you have is not the Real Thing. Maybe the kernel was configured without CONFIG_DEBUGINFO; maybe something else is messed up w.r.t. the way the dwarf files are separated. Hard to know witho= ut the .spec file.
