I wouldn't think that SystemTap should have any affect on user-space processes, so this behavior seems unusual. I'm using the strace.stp script from: https://sourceware.org/systemtap/examples/process/strace.stp The first issue is that it causes a SegFault in the debugged process, and t= hen makes GDB hang when trying to quit. The second issue is likely related but I haven't been able to reproduce it = with a simple binary.
