(2) The scaling of terrain images has been greatly improved. (Thanks to Matthew Skala for his patches dealing with this.) (3) The color scheme for the Tcl/Tk interface has been greatly improved by most accounts. Also, several menus have been renamed. (4) A new set of unit images is now used as the default in the Default game. The AWLS, Opal, and Starfleet Battles families of games have all been improved by their creator, Elijah Meeks. A bug in the 3rd Age of Middle Earth game has been fixed. The bug, reported by Kevin O'Gorman, had prevented ships from returning to a port. Fixes to some unit vision and network game bugs are currently in progress, but not ready for this prerelease. There will be another prerelease when the network issues have been sorted out. Note to Windows users: The program with "SETUP" in all uppercase letters and ending in ".exe" is an installer program which will install Xconq on your computer. Note to people installing from RPM packages: The 'common' package is a prerequisite to the other packages; it contains parts of Xconq in common to the interfaces, such as documentation and the games library. You must have this package in order to install one of the interface packages. The interface packages are: 'tcltk', 'sdl', and 'curses'. You will need to install at least one of them to actually play Xconq. Enjoy, Eric
