...was observed while trying to build gcc-5.3.0 on latest (at the time
of this change) archlinux using gcc-6.1.1.

This patch fixes the issue.

Yes and i'm not asking for the series 4.8.* but for gcc 4.9.2 which is
a recent one. And used by a recent debian.

Before you supported beaglebone but not anymore :'(
