Error building x86_64-uknown-elf-gdb

I asked crosstool-ng to create gdb for X86_64 and it failed. The end
of the build log is:

Is creating gdb for "baremetal" not a supported configuration or do I need to
do something different?

My system is an Arch Linux system updated today:
