A new release of fish is available in the Cygwin distribution. fish 2.3b1-1 is
a test release.

fish 2.3b1 has significant changes since fish 2.2, including some
backwards-incompatible changes. Please see the list at
http://fishshell.com/staging/release_notes.html.

Please try it out, and report any problems you find to this list.

fish is the friendly interactive shell. It's a Unix shell that focuses on
interactive use, discoverability, and user friendliness. The design goal of fish
is to give the user a rich set of powerful features in a way that is easy to
discover, remember, and use.
