I'd like to adopt the following packages to get them updated to current
0.21 as prereqs to updating and adopting libidn:

gettext ORPHANED (Yaakov Selkowitz)
mingw64-x86_64-gettext ORPHANED (Yaakov Selkowitz)
mingw64-i686-gettext ORPHANED (Yaakov Selkowitz)

and possibly the following if they are still required and useful and I
can get some build problems fixed:

cygwin64-gettext ORPHANED (Yaakov Selkowitz)
cygwin32-gettext ORPHANED (Yaakov Selkowitz)

Yes, I can see their usefulness for cross-compiling on other systems,
but unsure on Windows, maybe allows 64 bit builds under Windows 32?

The cross-compilation toolchains that use these packages are for have
bitrotted for so long that I don't think anybody still actually uses
them.

Indeed - agreed - looked at my installs and they are from 2014 Windows
manifest 2016 libbfd etc. gcc 6.04. I think I'll remove them all.
May be time to obsolete the packages?

per [1], the only use for these was cross-compiling cygwin itself.

So, yes, I think these should be removed.
