I would like to take over the maintenance of libsndfile
package which is currently orphanded. I have already
prepared the updated package at:

https://tyan0.yr32.net/cygwin/x86_64/release/libsndfile/

This was originally empty.

This is a historical packaging mistake (or dates back to when we had to
have an install package with the same name as the source package).

Please drop that install package, and make it obsoleted by libsndfile1,
instead.

Otherwise, looks good.

Thanks for checking.

Do you mean, keep libsndfile1 and delete libsndfile,
or vice versa?

Presumably means to remove libsndfile from PKG_NAMES as it is no longer required
by packaging tools and add:

libsndfile1_OBSOLETES=libsndfile # no longer required by packaging tools

in libsndfile1 package stanza lines in libsndfile.cygport.

Thanks for the advice!

I have updated the package in:

This is correct.

Thanks.

I've given you the adopted packages: libsndfile, mpg123, opus,
opus-tools, opusfile, SDL2. I'll look at the rest later.

I note most of these sources also have mingw-cross packages as well. I
don't know what we want to do about those.

Please accept these literally priceless gold stars for adopting these
packages.

Thanks in advance.

I noticed that. However, my main motivation is porting MOC
to cygwin, so I wanted the needed packages up to date.
Therefore, I did not touch these mingw packages.

Does anyone want these mingw packages updated?
