I know, doctor. I'm not sure if he'll pull through. I haven't seen
cross-posting injuries this bad since the Meow Wars.

        ... . . .

... meanwhile, on another channel ...

We should create a mailing list called themailinglistname on sourceware,
just for the fun of it. It would probably get a life of it's own.

That's one of the few diseases that can (hopefully) be cured by dropping a
hippo on the patient's head.

I heard that the themailinglistname community is one of the strongest and
largest in the open source world. Maybe we should redirect it here and
pretend to be them?

FWIW, I've isolated this particular patient and have him under careful
observation.

I think I may have become infected however since I'm having a harder
time than usual avoiding the urge to cross-post this message to
i-like-ponies@yahoogroups.com .

I may have to go into quarantine myself.

Yep. It is already set up that way.

I get some spam caught with that address and I also get the occasional
clueless individual who thinks that they have to send email there to
unsubscribe or subscribe.

I used to hang out on Usenet with a guy who went by the handle of
"Optional Identity". I thought it was a neat and thought-provoking bit of
social commentary on freedom of speech vs. anonymity vs. the internet vs.
meowing, but in fact it turned out just to be the default content that
FreeAgent fills out the "Full name" field with when you enter the details of
a new account.
