Thanks, Jon.  Downgrading to run-1.2.0 fixed the problem on my
Cygwin64 machine.  I'll try the 32-bit machine when I get to work
later.

Is there a way to test run-2.0?  What is the syntax to replace:

> C:\Cygwin\bin\run.exe /usr/bin/bash.exe -l -c /usr/bin/startxwin.exe
