Hi,

I'm using bash, version 2.04.0(8)-release, that comes with Cygwin
v1.1.6, on NT 4.0, as my main shell for both the "command prompt"
environment and under Emacs.

In both cases, I have the following problem: bash sometimes takes 100%
of the CPU forever (it seem to hang on executing the next instructions
of a script), while there is no apparent reason for that.

My problem is that bash scripts are heavily used on my machine: at
least, every 5 minutes, bash launches some monitoring commands (calls
MRTG and alerting script).

I do not know if it could help but I noticed that the total number of
handles on my NT workstation grows from 2500 (after reboot) to high
values (~ 21500)... but I do not know from where they come.

Fabrice
