Hi!

"Programmer's File Editor" (PFE) is also pretty nice and it's free. It will
work with either Unix or Windows file formats.

URL I have (which may be old) is 

http://www.lancs.ac.uk/people/cpaap/pfe

If this is no good then you could just try a Search on Altavista or
whatever engine you prefer. Look for "pfe" - should work fine.

Must say that I have gotten used to Emacs and more and more used to it as I
use it more.

then Ultraedit is nice to use
and very configurable

You can get pico as part of my port of Pine 4.10 to Cygwin. See

work with Cygwin and egcs. While it is an
IDE, it is also an editor! It currently
supports a generic Windows compatible
command set, as well as Vi and See. Full
source code is available, and an emulator
for ANY editor can be written in about two
days.
