Hi!
Everytime I try to run gnuwin 32 beta 20 on win98 I get the message "Bad
command or file name."
Why is that and how can I fix it?

regards
Andreas

I believe the default installation is:
"SET PATH=c:\CYGNUS\CYGWIN~1\H-I586~1\BIN;%PATH%".

Double check your actual path to 'bash'.

You are on Win95 or 98?

Add this to your config.sys file and reboot

shell=c;\Command.com /e; 4096 /p

or install the January 15, 1999 snapshot.

Perhaps you could be a little more specific?
What did you type?
What where you trying to do?
What was your environment?

These may help.

Removing system required environment variables will cause errors such as you're
seeing. To get rid of the "out of environment space", right click the
shortcut, go to the properties menu, go to the tab containing the memory
settings, find the initial memory box and give it a value of 4096 or more.

You are on Win95 or 98?

Add this to your config.sys file and reboot

shell=c;\Command.com /e; 4096 /p

or install the January 15, 1999 snapshot.

Title: RE: Bad command or file name.

Perhaps you could be a little more specific?
What did you type?
What where you trying to do?
What was your environment?

These may help.
