Hi,
Wget? I had not heard of it, either, but a simple Web search turned
up this URL, among many others:
< http://www.fsf.org/software/wget/wget.html >, from which I excerpted
this:
-==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==-
GNU Wget is a freely available network utility to retrieve files from
the World Wide Web using HTTP and FTP, the two most widely used
Internet protocols. It works non-interactively, thus enabling work in
the background, after having logged off.
The recursive retrieval of HTML pages, as well as FTP sites, is
supported: you can use Wget to make mirrors of archives and home
pages, or traverse the web like a WWW robot (Wget understands
/robots.txt).
Online manual is available at < http://www.fsf.org/manual/wget/index.html >
-==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==--==-
Seek and ye shall find.

And I have prebuilt binaries at:
ftp://ftp.xraylith.wisc.edu/pub/khan/gnu-win32/cygwin/ports/
Hardly tested, so beware of bugs.

And, of course, an inspection of the cygwin web page would unearth a
link to Mumit's page. It's been ported at Michael Hirmke's web site
for a while, too.

Wow! Nancy Reagan is smarter than I thought. My
just say No! generated more response than any net
post I've ever made.
I was not the orginal poster, having already
downloaded the docs the hard way. I was just
answering Chris' question, since I'd never heard
of "wget".
By the way, I'm quite capable of doing my own web
search for it, but thanks anyway to the multitude of
mailers and posters who've responded.
I have yet, however, to actually see instructions on
how to use this tool.
1) Go get ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/wget/wget-1.5.3.tar.gz
2) gzip -cd wget-1.5.3.tar.gz | tar xf -
3) cd wget-1.5.3
4) "Port it" by typing ./configure; make
5) install it if you wish
6) wget -r
http://sourceware.cygnus.com/cygwin/cygwin-api/cygwin-api.html
Hey! It worked!

Why do you not provide the Users Guide and the API Reference in one file for
download.
You seem to recognise this need for the FAQ, but decline to provide the same
service for the other major parts of the documentation ???
