Can I change default mount options

[Pan Ruochen]

On my computer, runing mount shows

C: on /c type ntfs (binary,posix=0,user,noumount,auto)
D: on /d type ntfs (binary,posix=0,user,noumount,auto)
E: on /e type ntfs (binary,posix=0,user,noumount,auto)

Is it possible to change the default mount options for every
partition, for example , to

binary,noacl,...

without modifying /etc/fstab.

Add /etc/fstab.d/<user> with your own mount options.
Be aware that noacl uses only the readonly attribute to 
inhibit write in POSIX permissions, and checks file suffixes 
and contents to determine execute permissions, so may be 
even slower.

Yes.
Create a cygdrive type mount with necessary options.
F.e.

none / cygdrive noacl,binary,nouser,posix=0 0 0

No, why? Your mount options choice is very sane, IMO.

I just dislike cygwin treats every file as executable. Comparing mount
options of msys2 against cygwin, msys2 has an extra noacl option. So I
guess noacl may turn off this cygwin `feature`. And I also wish this
turning-off apply to the usb disk but I am unable to forecast what is
the disk letter for that usb-disk. That is basically why I wonder the
"default" mount options.

See [1] for help on the drive letter managment.  I've also been known to
just modify the registry entries but the method described in the link is
easier.

It doesn't --- not when the files' ACLs are set up correctly, anyway. 
Nor is futzing with mount options the right solution to that issue. 
You'll have to adjust the ACLs instead.

That guess is ultimately wrong.

This is a core Windows behavior, nothing Cygwin can do about it, not it
should. In Windows, any file is, potentially, executable, in one way or
another.

No need to guess, when there's a clear documented explanation of every option.
