Hello

I use "mkdir.exe /test" for creating a directory.
If I open the properties in Windows it say "Permissions of /test are in wrong order"
If I use "cmd /c mkdir /test" all is fine.
I know that the mkdir.exe is the cygwin version and "cmd /c mkdir" use the windows version of mkdir.

In addition I'm wondering about the owner "NULL SID", togethert with the expected owners like me and
creator and so on.

Thanks for any hint
Matthias

How can I set the permissions as promised?

Thanks
Matthias

Promised by whom? Also, do not confuse "correct" with "canonical" order of
permissions. Permissions on files created by Cygwin tools inside Cygwin root
are IN CORRECT ORDER, although MAY NOT be IN CANONICAL ORDER.

The warning you see is a problem of Explorer, not Cygwin, that it can not
handle permissions in a given order.
See the documentation link above.
