Summary: when FreeBSD PPP stack gets PAP Authentication
timeout, it locks up
Product: eCos
Version: 3.0
Platform: All
OS/Version: Other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: critical
Priority: low
Component: TCP/IP
AssignedTo: unassigned@bugs.ecos.sourceware.org
ReportedBy: kenkyee@excite.com
CC: ecos-bugs@ecos.sourceware.org
Class: Advice Request
The message printed via syslog is "No response to PAP authenticate-requests".
Once that happens, cyg_ppp_wait_up() never comes back and it's hung :-P

FYI, I tried setting the RefusePAP PPP option in the options you can pass into
cyg_ppp_up and it had no effect. The PPP stack still eventually got hung in
the cyg_wait_ppp_up.
So, the title of the bug isn't totally correct....it's not PAP authentication
that is causing it...
