When I disable CYGSEM_HAL_ENABLE_DCACHE_ON_STARTUP, I get a conflict saying
startup mode must be WRITETHRU, which it is , but is also disabled (conflict
comes from CYGPKG_HAL_FREESCALE_EDMA). I believe the correct behavior is for
CYGPKG_HAL_FREESCALE_EDMA to ignore cache mode when cache is turned off.

Remove WRITETHRU requirement from eDMA

Try

$ cd <ecos_repo>/packages/hal/misc/freescale/edma/current
$ patch -p0 -i patchfile


You can safely try different -p values with option --dry-run.
