I'm not sure if I should be looking elsewhere for this information or
not.
I got the following output.
RCS file:
/cvs/ecos/ecos/packages/hal/arm/edb7xxx/current/src/edb7xxx_misc.c,v
retrieving revision 1.9
retrieving revision 1.10
Merging differences between 1.9 and 1.10 into edb7xxx_misc.c
cvs [update aborted]: cannot rename file .new.edb7xxx_misc.c to
edb7xxx_misc.c: Permission denied
I have the following files now.
.#edb7xxx_misc.c.1.9
.new.edb7xxx_misc.c
I want to know if I should just rename the new one to edb7xxx_misc.c?
Then can I just try an update again?

What permissions are set on the file and the src directory? Who owns
them. It looks like you don't have permission to delete the old
edb7xxx_misc.c file.

Oh, I forgot to mention. I'm on Windows 2000 with FAT32 so there are no
permissions. Also, the Read-only flag is not set. I'm thinking that
maybe the CVS tool had the file open before trying to delete it? If
that's the case, maybe it's a bug in the cvs tool!
Also, I don't have an edb7xxx_misc.c file anymore. The CVS tool removed
it and left the other two files.
.#edb7xxx_misc.c.1.9
.new.edb7xxx_misc.c

Yep, a new update seemed to work. We'll just see if anything actually
compiles now! :)

Nothing wrong with doing that. At least not in the unix world!

You should be able to do the cvs up command again and it will pull the
whole file for you.
