I was trying to validate the gdb works for my configuration
(redboot on a i386pc, host Dell W2k laptop)

When I download using Insight it hangs half way thru the code download...
So I was looking for something that was known to work....

Thanks for the redboot tests tip.....

Don't try it. The 'tests' target/directories are for eCos itself,
not RedBoot.

What were you trying to accomplish?

Then build a simple eCos test case and download one of those. That will
test both the GDB channel, as well as the basic eCos setup.
