Hi,
i have some doubts regarding the ARM-GNU-TOOLS support for
armv5t instruction sets. i have already ported redboot to my
target board, which has ARM926EJ-S controller.
and have tested a hello world program...but i fail to
execute the twothreads program..the system hangs when cyg_mutex_lock()
funtion is called. i have enabled the timers on the board..but i have
disabled the CACHE support(i.e both ICACHE and DCACHE)..

  now following are the questions:
1.i have noticed that the ARM-GNU-TOOLS supports currently upto armv4t
instruction sets and so, what about arm-v5t,armv5te, etc..?
2.will i be able to execute any eCos-kernel based applications on my
target board which is an armv5te architecture.

currently i m using the following ARM-GNU-TOOLS:
1. binutils 2.13.1
2. gcc-3.2.1
3. insight 5.3 and
4. newlib 1.11.0

thanks
satish

gcc 3.3 knows the armv5te option I don't know about earlier,
although I don't think your program fails because of the
toolchain.
