Hi,
   If i include Asserts in configtool and run the code then 
    the tick function is not called at all.
   If Asserts is removed,tick function is called.
   What may be the problem?

Are you seeing an assert? That can stop everything.

  No,second alarm is not triggered at all.If i keep show_threads
function,even first alarm is not triggered.tick function is not called
at all.If i comment show_threads function,first alarm is triggered,but
second alarm is not triggered.
