Hello,

I'm thinking about using a ROMRAM version of RedBoot, so that it does all the
initialization and then runs in RAM. This RedBoot should then be able to
overwrite it self with the fis create command. Is this possible or is the
boot image always a special behaviour that does not allow to overwrite with
fis create?

Thank you,

Roland

No, your thinking is 100% correct. A ROMRAM version of RedBoot can
certainly update the FLASH/ROM version without any special handling.
This is the standard mode for a large number of platforms.

Of course, care should be taken not to write a bad version... :-)

That's good, so I only have to get my ROMRAM version working.

Thanks,

Roland
