hi there.
i'm willing to compile redboot for i386, but with support for an ethernet interface (realtke 8139) and a serial port rs232. I just want to be able to boot my pc from a floppy disk ...

wich are the necessary/required setps to get this working ? I've already downloaded the ecos 2.0 source.

I'll really appreciate some help on this subjetc.

thank you

regards

lucas

Consider buying the book "Embedded softwar development with eCos", it has a
whole chapter 12 "An example Application using eCos" which explains exactly
what you want to do. Just follow the link under http://sources.redhat.com/
ecos/docs.html. It is excellant to get you started.

Best regards
