Hi all,
I would like to know whether it is possible to register a new address
family into the socket module in eCos. I am looking for something
similar to sock_register() in Linux.
Any help on this is highly appreciated.

I think this is a function of the netlink library, libnl. I also think
this is something very Linux specific since i think it uses the
netlink kernel calls to get access to raw packets etc.
The TCP/IP stack in eCos is the FreeBSD stack. It uses a different
architecture. So i don't think the netlink library is going to work on
eCos. You should look to see if there is a FreeBSD equivelent library
and use that.
There are lots of 'I think' there, so you should really check i have
this right.
