[ECOS] IXP425 not booting with rom image...

Friends,

I have flashed the default coyote rom image into my flash
on my IXP425 based board. Am using AXD debugger and
jtag based multi-ice setup for interaction.

On power on, am seeing that
1.the PC is having 0x0000000 value,
2.RAM and FLASH addresses are still
	overlapping (expansion bus mapping not done)
3.If I manually modify PC to 0x50000040(reset_vector),
	the AXD debugger aborts

Any pointers on how I can make PC load and run from reset_vector
would be helpful.

Hi Vijay,
I can successfully step though Redboot on an IXP425 using macraigor OCD commander and a Wiggler jtag programmer.
I don't muck around with the vector table, I just start executing Redboot from PC=0x0 (which is mapped to FLASH 0x5000_0000).
After about 100x program steps Redboot switches the SDRAM and FLASH and everything proceeds just fine.

Hi All,

Am using a regular ROM image and not redboot.
Guess this should not matter since anyway both use platform_setup.

Now am able to single step till the expansion bus.
After that, control gets lost and AXD closes.

As I understand, at that point execution should have continued
From icache. Is something wrong there?. Have checked that icache
Is enabled correctly. Can I check what instruction is being executed
From cache currently.

Stewart - any more pointers?.
