This is a GCC problem.  What version are you running?
Where did you get it?

Hi Gary,

I use the version gcc 3.2.1 for Cygwin which is available on the eCos mirror sites
( ecoscentric-gnutools-powerpc-eabi-1.4-2.cygwin.tar.bz2).
What is the currently prefered compiler version for compiling eCos?

Have u selected "select() implementation header" under ISO C and POSIX
infrastructure?
