As I know, guys from cirrus logic have not only working redboot,
but also ecos by itself, source code avaible for buyers of their
development boards.

We would if it was something as simple as a git push.

Sadly, we're still on CVS...

The much harder problems would be:
  * We need a copyright assignment to the FSF for any contributions
    See http://ecos.sourceware.org/assign.html
  * Your code base would have to be merged with the latest CVS

I'd be happy to help with merging into CVS if the copyright issue
can be taken care of.

I would also like to see the ep93xx support merged into CVS.

I've tried to keep my local copy of the port current with the latest
CVS and have updated various pieces of the Cirrus port. If there
is anything I can do to help let me know.

Is it possible for Cirrus to just release all rights to the port then
have someone else pick it up and get a copyright assignment to the FSF?

Hartley

Sorry for the multiple reply. I have sent the assign form to the gnu
group.
When I receive it back, I'll forward the port for the EP9X Cirrus Logic
ARM9 processors.

Probably the best way is to open a bugzilla report at
  http://bugs.ecos.sourceware.org/
You can attach the patch set to that bug. We can then look
into merging it into CVS.

Feel free to send the patch, etc, while the FSF is processing
your assignment.

Thanks

I have submitted the bug along with a patch to add support for all
development boards for the Cirrus Logic EP93XX ARM9 family.

The bug number is 1000739

Thanks, and sorry this took so long :)

Brian,

Thanks for doing this!! I will be great to finally get the EP93xx
port into CVS!

Hartley

I'm glad to know BSP for edb93xx boards will finally be merged. Sadly
now I'll have to choose another topic for my final graduation work!

Or,

You could take over the port? :-)

Unfortunately I am not in the ARM part of Cirrus anymore. I'm in codecs
now, so I will not have much time to handle a lot of the ecos port for
EP93XX.
