I just found the Readme file in serial tests folder - the file is from 1999
but if its is still up to date
then I have to modify ser_test_protocol.inl for the new serial drivers for
EDOSK2674 in order
to run the serial tests.

So I think my questions from the last mail are answered.

That README is very old, some of what it says is now obsolete. Any
configuration of the serial tests should now be done in the CDL file
for the device driver. Just define the CYGPRI_SER_XXX options and
define any of the CYGINT_IO_SERIAL_TEST_SKIP_XXX options for any
unsupported baud rates.

You should not need to make any changes to ser_test_protocol.inl
directly.
