Hey there,
I am currently using a Linux box and I tried installing ecos on my
machine but got thie error when i executed "sh ecos-install.tcl". Please
advice.

It looks like your computer is running SunOS (not Linux). Note that the
ecos-discuss mailing list is the right place to ask questions such as this.
