A nice feature would be to have compatibility with gdb command set.
Maybe as a set of aliases.

Sounds nice!
There are some oddities though.
For instance fhpd and gdb disagree on the meaning of "up" and "down".
So you would need a way to swap commands; maybe a "rename" command.
Then if you do swap them, "help up" will still mention "down", since
command names are hard-coded into the help text.
