Bug ID: 109133
Summary: Error: operands mismatch -- statement `movec

Product: gcc
Version: 12.2.0
Status: UNCONFIRMED

Hi,
not clear if this may be related to binutils, i using gcc btw.
I am just using for test
-march=isac
on mcf54415, that should work. But i am observing this error:

movec is isac, so it should be legal.
If i use -mcpu=54418 in place of -march=isac, i can compile.
Regards,
angelo

Looks like either a problem in gas, or the gcc driver not passing appropriate
options to gas. We need a standalone test case, and please indicate exactly
what versions of gcc and binutils you're using and how they were configured and
built.

The available control registers are dependent on the particular device, a
generic setting like isac does not include any.
